Very pertinent in these Subjective Times

Ah yes... Those under-appreciated and rarely considered Emotions. A theme is emerging. Very pertinent in these Subjective Times.
Here we are trying to "do battle" with those caught up in a whirlpool of emotion. We reason, scrape up pertinent facts and verified figures, point out to others what appears blatantly obvious. To no avail. Why?
Because emotion can be, and is, much more powerful than reason.
This is not something we were taught.
There was no warning label attached.
Emotions can make a stranger appear to be the devil himself. Fearful fantasies can, and do, override reason in a heartbeat. "The bogeyman will get you." And suddenly, all we see are predators or terrorists.
Sure, danger exists but statistics bear out the reality that the hyped up scenarios being fed to our fearful emotional self are not true. So why don't those statistics matter?
Because we will attract and create Proof of our beliefs. And beliefs may be clothed in verbally based thoughts but emotions are the blood making that belief-heart beat.
As of yet, I have no answer about how we can help those who see Bullies as Saviors, and fervently believe immigrants, minorities, or any unique individual is the bogeyman. My instinct is that it's twofold.
First off we need stories again. Bring that imagination back on track. Harry Potter or Star Trek. Tales that remind us of humanity, encourage us all to be heroes with character and heart, and ignite hope and dreams.
Second is trickier yet also rather exciting. The Concept of Group reality, and how it may be swayed. Consider how mob mentality works. Again, not based on reason or words, but emotions.
In other words: We must *Feel* our way home.
This may be one of our truest assignments in this time of turmoil. To redirect our Emotions is essential. Every external action we take--writing letters, making phone calls, composing posts--must be accompanied by a corresponding Emotional Belief.
Not Fear.
A Fervent Emotional Belief that overwhelms the subjective fears flooding our collective consciousness.
Visualize the anger and hatred (all based on burning irrational fear) being cooled and swept away by a soothing river of confident love and peaceful reassurance.
If news reports overwhelm, either tune into your favorite uplifting, hilarious comedy or book, or focus all your energy on Happy Creation. Write stirring pieces or hopeful tales, plant and prune, play your favorites tunes, dance with wild abandon, put on an hilarious puppet show, giggle through some comedy improv, stretch into artistic yoga poses, whip up a delicious meal.
All accompanied by the most vital ingredient of all:
Love, love, love.
Love your snuggly kitties, your precious pups, and your wacky, adorable children. Love the leafy ferns, the sturdy pine trees, the stoic boulder, and fragrant flowers. Pause to wink at a cloud. Whisper sweet nothings to the tea pot as it heats. Thank the stove for its dedicated effort.
Love Your Self.
Sidle up to the mirror and let your delightful Self know just how appreciated you are. "You are beautiful, you are precious, you are my favorite Soul in the world!"
Thank you, sturdy legs and flexible spine. Thank you lungs for helping me taste each breath of air. Thank you heart for teaching me how to live.
We're currently floating on a wave of Subjective Focus, and what people won't Hear with physical ears, may be *felt* through a collective heartbeat.
Sending You, Me, and All of Us Extra Love Today and Everyday.
I believe in You. I believe in our World. Let's back those mental beliefs with the power of Emotion.
I Believe! --Chiron O'Keefe
"(Very forcefully:) Emotions, instead of propelling a physical rocket, for example, send thoughts from this interior reality through the barrier between nonphysical and physical into the “objective” world — no small feat, and one that is constantly repeated." —Nature of Personal Reality by Jane Roberts, Chapter 5: Session 625, November 1, 1972
