Diwali - The Festival Of Lights

Light is Sprit.
Light is Energy.
Light is Wisdom.
Light is Life.
Happy festival of Lights.
India is a country that is culturally so rich that it celebrates one or the other festival almost every month. And most of these festivals have their origin in Indian Mythology and there is very interesting stories about them.

It is the spiritual and religious richness in India that each festival is related to some or other deity.
One of such festivals is the 'festival of lights', Deepawali.
The festival of diwali is celebrated by the Indians throughout the world in a joyous mood with great zeal and enthusiasm. Diwali is not limited to just one-day celebration like many other Indian festivals but it is a unique one for it brings a series of festivals and holidays with itself. Diwali is the festival of worship of Goddess Lakshmi, lights, crackers, cleanliness, sweets, lots of shopping, happiness, togetherness and almost one week's holiday.

The light of lights, the self-luminous inner light of the Self is ever shining steadily in the chamber of your heart.

Sit quietly.

Close your eyes.

Withdraw the senses.

Sharing light with Kimmy.

Striving to create a path between the present course of events and a new course; leading to new outcomes.

    Happy Diwali.

  2. Thanks for sharing this inspiring post!

I am trying to generate some support for our daughter. I entered her into a Smile Contest, so if you could please cast a vote for her every day until October 31st it would be so much appreciated. To cast your vote, please go to this link. Please look for Jillian Rylie Cottrill. Thank you very much for all your help!

  3. Hi Kim,
Thanks for sharing this information with all of us. I needed this today.
    Love and Light,

  4. Thanks Janet! I was ready to post a blog on what I am going through last night, when I realized, the drama doesn't matter. We choose to live in light and calm, or darkness and angst. Which do we choose is a daily decision! Some days are better choices than others.

  5. Kimmy: Happy Diwali and happy festival of light :) Light is the meaning behind everything and there is always one at the end of the tunnel!

p.s. I am not currently following-up with online blogs well because of being offline (normal life) so wish you and the family all the best. Thanks for your kind wishes for Marwa.
