Essence of existence

Nothing in the world is permanent, and we're foolish when we ask anything to last, but surely we're still more foolish not to take delight in it while we have it. If change is of the essence of existence one would have thought it only sensible to make it the premise of our philosophy.

William Somerset Maugham - The Razor's Edge, 1943

Kimmy ~ Creating a path between the present course of events and a new course, leading to new outcomes.

"We can try many ways to get rid of the darkness, but none is as effective as simply increasing the light."

  4. Your choices in graphics reveal an eye for detail. Another response to your perspective is to recognize darkness is an illusion of the mind. When you acknowledge only love and light, other thigns fade away into nothingness.

  10. It is useful to reflect on impermanence as a benefit. No sense of discomfort, restlessness or fear ever lasts. A sense of time is created in the mind. Something that enables you to feel good compresses time and makes it seem like time goes faster. Something that evokes negative feelings stretches perceived time and makes itseem like time slows down. All time is actually illusion. Realizing this on a conscious level changes how you view eveyrthing.
