Here's a concept

Total creation.
Total freedom, total individuality.
Total work, total play.
Total ability.
Total knowledge.
Total intention.
Total understanding.
Total communication.
Total observation.

What does total mean? Can one ever be total?

Do you need the spotlight?

When we make a positive contribution we usually want to get recognition for it. We might not always say it in words but there is always an expectation that others should recognize our contribution.

We need to make sure that we enjoy whatever we do.

Since the task itself becomes enjoyable for us, we don't anymore expect recognition. The more we become free from expectations we get the love from others and recognition too.

I had a great productive day at work today, and the results were satisfaction enough.

Golden Opportunity

This social evolution follows a capitalism based on credit (Our current system?) with a capitalism based on (real) capital: Utopia! So is this where we are now? Surely, we've known for a long time that how much money a person makes says very little about how well off they are.

Sorry: Poor: Humble: Modest: Average: Comfortable: Rich: Wealthy: Well-Off

*Sorry people should be apologetic!
*Poor includes poor in spirit and also poor health.
*Being humble may involve being humiliated!
*Sometimes I have to be modest (more below).
*Average people may also be "mean" (the mean is the arithmetic average).
*Comfort is the cure for dis-ease.
*Wealth is better than riches (think about it).
*Well-off (or "well") is at the opposite end of the spectrum from poor.

Why I'm modest: I've been all the way down to poorest of poor (physically and spiritually). I've been sorry! Sorry can be a turn-around point. Probably I've never really been well-off. Though, perhaps I have a wealth (of knowledge). Surely, my life is rich in tradition (most of ours are). And maybe I'm just average (sometimes I'm mean)?

I find myself between being mean and feeling humiliated. Being modest keeps me from being mean. And it keeps me from feeling humiliated! Where would you place yourself?

Hi every one! Please welcome my friend Brett from mindcreation. I met Brett through his site, Dear, me. For more like this please visit his website and blog. This is my first guest posting! Thank you Brett for being a guest on kimmysharinglight. You are welcome anytime.

Best way to receive

I thought it would be nice to start each week with a special thought or reminder to keep in our hearts.

One of the universal laws states that the best way to receive things that we desire is to give it to others. Then it can't help but come back to you.

Giving things can mean anything, not only possesions, or money. Giving of ourselves is the harder task.

So try giving a smile, or a nice word, or some assistance to a stranger on the street, or to a friend who needs his or her spirit raised.

All of these acts are giving of yourself.

The Universe keeps a perfect "record", so know that when you need, you will receive, at exactly the right time and place.

That's what some people call a miracle.

A good week to all. Love and light blessings, Kimmy

Affirmation by Kimmy

I know I can change my body, spirit and mind. I hereby visualize my cells becoming healthy again, so that I can continue to be a lighthouse for others. I will make a positive stride to eating better, and giving my body the exercise it needs to perform....in love and light..Kimmy

Waiting on the World to...

People usually wait for the world to change, sometimes the world at large and sometimes our own little world. Since worldly change is not in our hands we don't see to what we want and we give up trying. We rarely think of changing ourselves which is possible.

When we change, our thoughts and attitude change too. We are then able to look at the people and our world around us with a different vision. Thus we find that our world changes, not so much in the situation as much as in our own perception.

What are you waiting to change, and what are you waiting for?

Taken from "As a Man Thinketh"

Anxiety quickly demoralizes the whole body, and it lays it open to the entrance of desease; while impure thoughts, even if not physically indulged, will soon shatter the nervous system.

Thought is the font of action, life, and manifestation; make the fountain pure, and all will be pure.

I am home, with a new outlook on bringing on my own anxiety. A friend of mine let me borrow a book called As a Man Thinketh. I am more than half way through the book.

I am tired of beating myself up, and I AM looking forward to now. The realization of being the happiness that I desire. I will share a few more quotes on the book.

Man is made, or unmade by himself

We are anxious to improve our circumstances, but unwilling to improve ourselves; there fore we remain bound.

How many times do you think about situations that you wish you can change, but either afraid to, or do not want to?

Sampling for Growth

How is it when ever I get to the point of throwing in the towel, light seems to find its way into my life? I have a bit of reading to do tonight, but might be able to blog about that tomorrow. Right now, I am fried. So I wil sample other's ideas, to help myself and share light with others. Based on what I have learned so far...think I need to learn these truths I did not want to hear up until today.

Snippet of Admissions

Nobody will ever understand you completely.
There will always be a major distortion between what you know, what you will be able to communicate, and what people will then comprehend.
Life does have no intrinsic meaning.
Your emotions will always interfere with your sense of truth.
Life is composed of layers of visible and invisible cliche's and story lines.
There is no perfect break from some vaguely deterministic path.
You will never be beyond reproach.
You will be the vehicle of stupid actions that are equally as inane as the sins of others
We will always have to act on incomplete knowledge.
There will always be so much more beyond your awareness.
You can never truly break from the trajectory, maybe nudge it around, but that'll ultimately be part of that trajectory
There is no perfect art
You will never reach your full potential

* superego is defined as "In Freudian theory, the division of the unconscious that is formed through the internalization of moral standards of parents and society, and that censors and restrains the ego." (dictionary.com)

My Solar Halo

Heaven around the Sun, 9/19/2008

On the way home, bright and sunny day. I saw two rainbows create a circle around the sun. This was the best picture I could get, and this is at 50% so you can see both sides. If anyone wants the original, I will email. It was amazing. I read more about it. It is called a Solar Halo.

Solar Halos are produced when sunlight passes through a thin veil of cirrus clouds (clouds that are composed of ice crystals).

The colors of such halos are often dim, but they can be vivid when the atmosphere is exceptionally clean. A full spectrum of colors is visible in those instances, with the colors ranging from red to blue. Most halos form in a 22-degree ring around the sun, and fainter versions, usually whitish, also occur around the moon.

In weather folklore, halos are said to foretell precipitation because a veil
of cirrus is often the precursor to approaching storms.

Here is another chilling article.

Solar halo creates flutter - Siliguri sees rare phenomenon

FROM THE TELEGRAPH

The solar halo in the Siliguri sky on Wednesday. Picture by Kundan Yolmo Siliguri, Sept. 10 2008: A halo around the sun seen from Siliguri this morning triggered curiosity as well as rumours as it coincided with the start of the Big Bang experiment in Geneva.

When the aura around the sun became visible around 11.30am, the people of the town started making calls to their near and dear ones, trying to gauge what exactly the phenomenon was.

“I was amazed to see a light around the sun when I went to the terrace to lay some clothes. I hadn’t seen such a scene before. Soon, I received a call from my friend who wanted to share the excitement of having witnessed the rare phenomenon,” said Proloy Choudhury, a college student.

The experts said it was an optical astronomical phenomenon generally not seen in city skies.

“We have seen the picture of the sun in the Siliguri sky today and feel that it was probably a solar halo. Such auras are created mostly when sunlight is refracted through ice crystals formed in cirrus or cirrostratus clouds moving at an altitude of 5-10km in the upper troposphere,” Sanjib Sen, the director of the Positional Astronomy Centre in Calcutta, said over the phone from Calcutta.

“A particular shape and orientation of the crystals are responsible for the formation of the halo. There will be different colours when the light refracted by the crystals is split,” Sen added.

Debasis Sarkar, the secretary of the Sky Watchers’ Association of North Bengal, said such halos were not commonly seen in cities because of high accumulation of dust and smog in the sky.

“The ice crystals are usually hexagonal in shape which refract the light. The halos are seen in full circular shape and of lesser diameter than a rainbow,” said Sarkar.

He added that the halo might have been formed in the Siliguri sky because of heavy rain early in the morning and bright sunshine afterwards with very little air movement.

Ruma Bhattacharya, a housewife, said: “I was already tense after I heard that the Geneva experiment would be the end of the world. The aura around the sun only added my fears.”

The test in Geneva, which started today, will see two beams of protons zipping in opposite directions at more than nine-tenths the speed of light collide inside a tunnel. The test kicks off a fresh search for an elusive piece of a decades-old physics puzzle by mimicking conditions a whisker of time after the birth of the universe.

Transcript of the mind

The human body is but a literal transcript of the mind. Physical inharmonies can be rectified through mental and spiritual lawfulness.

But because the process is complex and gradual, the correspondence is not superficially apparent. Every living thing grows into the likeness of its environment. We can invoke the true or the false and surround ourselves with it as if by magic.

Through obedience to Law, we are creators and can build subjective worlds. Before long, the objective sphere takes on those qualities. - Dr. Thurman Fleet

Separation is the opposite of wholeness

I found the following article illuminating. I hope you do as well.
Namaste'

Integrity means wholeness, completeness. A person with wholeness can focus their energies in one direction. A whole person achieves their life’s purpose without the dissipation of energies caused by internal conflicts. They gets things done with ease, and then move on to the next activity which further pursues their sense of inner joy.

Guilt and fear are, of course, part of the tradition that we have inherited from our forebears. That tradition is one of separateness. Separation of people into sexes, races, colors, religions. Then there’s the separation of cities via competing sports teams, the separation of nations through battles and war. Even consciousness has been separated into subconscious, superconscious and regular waking states.

Separation is the opposite of wholeness. Separation divides, while integrity unifies.

Integrity is the ability to say “and” instead of “or.”

Integrity is wholeness, or completeness. Wholeness allows your energies to be directed towards any activity without them being dissipated by inner conflicts. Integrity, therefore, empowers effectiveness.

Integrity of mind, body and spirit begins with spiritual integrity.

When your spirit feels crushed by a heavy feeling of guilt or fear, you can:

a) Go into meditation to trace the feeling back to its source and find out who originally put that feeling fear or guilt in you. Then, when you understand the original purpose of that programming and its inappropriateness today, you can let it go.

b) When the time feels right for your own personal Declaration of Independence, enter a quiet state, and then declare;

“I now release this old reality and replace it with the unconditional love which flows through all of Creation. I now cancel all of those unconscious vows and obligations which no longer serve me. I release these now, and I replace them with the unconditional love which flows through all of Creation.”

Taste your words

An old friend said to me, "taste your words before spitting them out". I have heard that before. Still, kind of harsh maybe but true none the less.

So my light for today is mostly for me. Take time and think before you say something. I need to just slow down, and either choose my words, or say nothing. Helping others by being harsh doesn't always work with people. Saying "It's my way", is only another excuse for bad behavior.

Magic Number 7 - Go CUBS! - NONO!

Monday's blog is dedicated to Carlos Zambrano and the Chicago Cubs.

Cubs' Carlos Zambrano throws a no-hitter against the Astros
From the Associated Press
9:45 PM CDT, September 14, 2008

MILWAUKEE - Carlos Zambrano pitched the first no-hitter for the Chicago Cubs in 36 years, returning from a recent bout of rotator cuff soreness to shut down the Houston Astros, 5-0, Sunday night in a game relocated because of Hurricane Ike.

Zambrano stopped a Houston team that had not played since Thursday and flew to Milwaukee on the day of the game. The storm forced baseball to move two games of the series from Texas to Miller Park, home of the Brewers.

Zambrano, known for his emotional displays on the mound, kept himself in control until striking out Darin Erstad to finish his gem.

The big right-hander dropped to his knees and pointed to the sky with both hands after getting Erstad to swing and miss. Zambrano was immediately mobbed on the mound by his teammates.

The crowd of 23,441 -- mostly Cubs fans -- erupted in a wild ovation after chanting "Let's go Z!" throughout the final inning.

Zambrano struck out 10 and walked one in the Cubs' first no-hitter since Milt Pappas pitched one against San Diego in 1972.

This was the second no-hitter in the majors this season -- Boston's Jon Lester did it against Kansas City at Fenway Park on May 19.

And it could be a sign of good things to come for the NL Central-leading Cubs, whose fans have gotten used to doing more crying than cheering in September during 100 years' worth of World Series frustration.

The Cubs took a 71/2-game lead in the NL Central over the fading Brewers, who were swept in a day-night doubleheader by the Philadelphia Phillies.

The Astros fell two games back of the Brewers and Phillies in the wild-card race.

Hey Chicago Whadda you said! GO CUBS GO!

Of all energy and light

Of all energy and light
All that I long and fail to be
Let clear light forever shine

To share and guide this life of mine.
Though what I dream and what
I do

Help me light,
oppressed by things undone,
whose dreams and
hopes were one

I wrote this many years ago, and I wish I would have wrote a journal back then to also write what I was feeling. I was in my early 20s, new marriage, young daughter, full time job. I am not even sure what the poem's mood was at the time. Any ideas would be refreshing.

Feeling Inverted

I am spending this weekend trying to remove toxins from my body. This picture is called an inverted tornado. This is how I have been feeling. Have you ever gotten to the point where you know you have not been healthy and just said ENOUGH!?

Don’t Look Back in Anger

Some of us have been angry for so long that we’ve forgotten what it’s like not to be angry anymore.

We’ve become so attached to our anger that we think it’s who we are. But it’s really no more a part of you than an old wound is, when it’s time to finish healing you just have to let the scabs fall. It might leave a scar, but even that fades with time.

You might have to change so much that you’ll have to become a different person. And that can be scary. The unknown usually is. But what is it that you’re so afraid of losing by hanging on to your rage? What will you lose if you let it consume you? And what will you gain when you finally move on?

The song goes; don’t look back in anger. Please don’t look forward with it either.

Alvin Soon Many thanks for sharing your wisdom with me!

It's in my hands

I am happy for that which I have now which brings me a peace. I express my gratitude for these teachings that they might continue to be in my life, and of those around me. I am grateful for the lessons I have already gone through that have helped me develop a stronger center.

I was told yesterday that people want to know more about me, and my struggles. But to that I say why? Why would I blog about past drama, and daily struggles? We have a gift that we do not have to lay down to our circumstance, but to rise above our drama! I spent years complaining about what life brings, only to learn that I was bringing it on myself. Now I want to pass on the knowledge. Empower people to realize they have a choice in how their life turns out.

I allow myself to be enthusiastic about what I LOVE to do and today I will share this enthusiasm with others

Love, Kimmy

Tips to Mental Toughness

You do not have to be born with mental toughness. Mental toughness is a transferrable trait. You don't have to go through a trial by fire to experience it. Life will give you what you ask for. But once you ask, Life sets you to task. You will be challenged, many times a day to keep moving forward and reach your goal.

Here are some action tips for you to gain more mental toughness in EVERYTHING you do.

No pain, no gain vs. Patience, pacing, and persistence.
You don't need to go through emotional or physical pain to succeed. This is a myth. When you realize that failure and handicaps have NOT prevented winners in any area of life, you gain more confidence and courage to pursue your own dreams.

But you don't need to "come from behind" to get ahead. Learn from the trial and error of others, and expect a lot of yourself. Understand it may take months instead of days.

"What next?" thinking.
Give yourself solution-oriented feedback when solving your problems. Don't dwell on what went wrong. What are you going to do about it? Spend your energy on moving forward, finding an answer. Blogging helps here.

Get comfortable with the unfamiliar.
Make it a part of your daily routine to do something totally different than what you normally do. Work out at a different gym. Put your TV in the closet for a month. Drive to work using a different route. Change workout routines regularly. You'll be better prepared to handle diverse environments with greater calm and confidence.

THINK AND SPEAK WELL OF YOUR HEALTH.
Teach yourself and your children to use positive self-talk about fitness and personal health. Too much attention is paid to minor aches and pains, like there's value to not feeling good. We tend to make real what is the "main feature" of ourselves. What's YOUR "main feature"?

Hang out with people who have already achieved their goals or who are dedicated to goals similar to yours.
Avoid associating with people who have the same unresolved problems or who are frustrated by their lack of achievement. You know, the pity parties. "Oh, woe is me. My life is in an upheaval. How about you?" "You poor thing. Woe is me, too."

Some people tend to thrive on the attention they get when they feel bad. A strong community of like-minded people gives you motivation, support, and purpose for succeeding.

Focus on desired results.
Pure and simple: winners dwell on the rewards of success. Losers focus on mistakes and failure. Do what's necessary NOW. Be in the present. Then you don't have to worry about what happened yesterday or what's going to happen tomorrow. Thus, two-thirds of your worries disappear.

Expect the unexpected.
You can't control what nature and others do. You can anticipate what MAY happen, and prepare for them as best you can. You can also control your response to what happens. Have you noticed you are in control?

WORLD OF WARCRAFT Recruit-A-Friend

Warcraft at Entertainment Earth

What is "Recruit-A-Friend"?

Our new friend referral system allows you to recruit some of your friends to join you in World of Warcraft by sending them an invitation email containing a trial activation key. With this key, your friends will be able to set up their own trial accounts.

To start this process log on to the Account Management section and click the Recruit-A-Friend button. This will take you to the actual friend referral page, where you can enter a friend's email address and name one at a time. If you want, you can also enter a message that will be included in the invitation email.

How can I earn the exclusive in-game mount?

For each person you refer who upgrades to a retail version of World of Warcraft and purchases two months of game time, you will be able to give a character on the account you sent the invitation from an exclusive in-game zhevra mount. This unique mount can be claimed through the website, is only available to Recruit-A-Friend participants, and can only be applied to a single character.

When do players receive the zhevra mount -- after two months or as soon as the recruit has paid for two months?

Players will be eligible to claim the zhevra mount once the recruit has successfully paid for two months of subscription time.

Recruits that have upgraded to a retail account receive their initial recurring subscription charge after the free 30 days have expired. The use of a Prepaid Game Card on the recruits account will make the players account immediately eligible to claim the zhevra mount.

What in-game benefits do we get while the accounts we play are linked?

1. Characters on both accounts can summon each other once per hour.
2. While adventuring with your linked friend/family member, you will each gain triple experience.
3. For every two levels the new player earns, the new player can grant one free level-up to a lower-level character played by the veteran player.

How long will I be linked to my recruit?

The link between the accounts will last for 90 days from the date that your recruit creates an account. Remember that for the link to work properly, your recruit must create a new World of Warcraft account using the 10-day trial key in your invitation email.

When my friend/family member upgrades from a trial account to a full version of the game, will that break the link between the accounts?

Nope! Your friend/family member will have to upgrade to continue playing past the 10-day trial, and the accounts you play will stay linked until the full 90 days have passed.

_____________________________________________________________________________________

So many of you by now have to wonder why I posted this! So the question is, how many of you know some one that plays/is consumed by this. How have you brought it up to them?

Hope Of Deliverance

Hope Of Deliverance - Paul McCartney

I will always be hoping, hoping.
You will always be holding, holding
My heart in your hand. I will understand.

I will understand someday, one day.
You will understand always,
Always from now until then.

When it will be right, I dont know.
What it will be like, I dont know.
We live in hope of deliverance from the darkness that surrounds us.

Hope of deliverance, hope of deliverance.
Hope of deliverance from the darkness that surrounds us.

And I wouldnt mind knowing, knowing
That you wouldnt mind going, going along with my plan.

When it will be right, I dont know.
What it will be like, I dont know.
We live in hope of deliverance from the darkness that surrounds us.

Hope of deliverance, hope of deliverance.
Hope of deliverance from the darkness that surrounds us.

Hope of deliverance, hope of deliverance.
Hope of deliverance from the darkness that surrounds us.

Hope of deliverance, hope of deliverance.
Hope of deliverance from the darkness that surrounds us.

Hope of deliverance, hope of deliverance.
Hope of deliverance from the darkness that surrounds us.

(What a great little uplifting song!)

Being chased by something that is not real

I've been quiet the last few days wondering what to type. I have no clue to what this next journey will bring. What I realize is there are many lessons to be learned. Ignornance that normally spins me in circles, I need to learn the lesson, and move on. I cannot control the evil and anger in people. I can control being chased by fake people. People hurt others when they are hurting. Their path isn't near mine. I need to look towards me.

The best thing is to reach for the enlightenment! What am I supposed to learn here?

Please understand I cannot pretend to be who I am not. I can't fake the niceties. You must look towards yourself for the truth that you seek. Question your motives, and question what's in it for you, and at what cost!!

Rebuilding Self

Many times I find that my words, actions or behavior tend to upset others inspite of my not wanting to hurt them. I end up alone, trying to figure out where I have gone wrong. I seem to be very happy with the situation, but others don't seem to be. At that time I am not really able to understand the reason for this and I consider the every one else to be unreasonable.

When something goes wrong in any relationship, the first thing I need to do is to keep my mind calm and cool. I need to check myself when others are getting upset with me. I need to make effort to check and change myself constantly so that I am able to move forward. I will be able to appreciate and connect to the uniqueness of that person, thus creating time and space for rebuilding that relationship.

Delicate sound of thunder, after the storm

Yes, a change is coming. Clouds are clearing! After all this time, I still don't recognize my own patterns. I think I might have reached a plateau, spiritual, intellectual, etc. And I have been through this. When the storm clears, I will also see clearly the next path, re-creation. I should be welcomed by this, not upset!

So I found an old poem I posted on a blog 3 years ago, when I hit a plateau previously...

Walt Whitman - In Midnight Sleep.

Poem of the Day, February 17th 2005

1
IN midnight sleep, of many a face of anguish,
Of the look at first of the mortally wounded—of that indescribable
look;
Of the dead on their backs, with arms extended wide,
I dream, I dream, I dream.

2
Of scenes of nature, fields and mountains;
Of skies, so beauteous after a storm—and at night the moon so
unearthly bright,
Shining sweetly, shining down, where we dig the trenches and gather
the heaps,
I dream, I dream, I dream.

3
Long, long have they pass'd—faces and trenches and fields;
Where through the carnage I moved with a callous composure—or away
from the fallen,
Onward I sped at the time—But now of their forms at night,
I dream, I dream, I dream.

Darkness..let there be..

As darkness fell upon me at work today, I remembered why I share the light. I have been behind shadow from even myself. The impending doom took a toll on my health, and I sit here, wondering if I am having a heart attack, or losing heart.

My last post that was sharing light was gratitude. The only way to walk out of darkness is to step into the light. If you are reading it, you are witnessing it. This is not easy. I could have hit Publish Post on blogger and laid back down. Instead I am forcing myself up. My life is not that bad, and whatever I am going through, I have gone through worse!

Today a friend of mine, while I was in my pity party, asked me how much it would be to write a few posts about his business. He does non-for-profit charity work. I told him that he needs to dedicate time to write out a few benefits for the websites, and I would just do it! Gratitude for thinking of me.

I know I also need more than a few hours of sleep. I will try to get that tonight, and be back on track tomorrow.

Thank you for your comments and emails.

When the light is dim

Sometimes when my light is dim, I don't have things to say. My mind races with negative, dark thoughts. I notice that I can make everything about me, and become paranoid on who is out to get me. It's a place that can consume me.

I find on dimmer days, it's easier to let it pass, rather than to dwell on the darkness.

Sharing my kind of fortune

The more we remember our fortune of what we have attained, the more we will enjoy sharing it with others. And the more we give your own treasure, it increases too.

Each one has his own share of fortune. Let me this day think of all those things that I have for which I would consider myself fortunate. When I begin to look at these things I will surely stop expecting but make the best use of what I have.

There is happiness in distributing our fortune with generosity.
