On Sharing the Light

Who is Kimmy and why do I share the light?

Well, if you always do what you've always done... you will always get what you've always gotten.

I embrace change, imperfection and the ups and downs of life. I live for accountability and enlightenment.

I started this journal when I lost a friend of mine. He felt there was no way out. He felt that circumstances could not be changed. I pray for his family, and the families of all involved to seek peace.

Soul searching and self discovery comes from within. However, much can be learned from everyone around you. I find that with a record of events, one can seek to learn from previous steps and stop running the same circle. Getting the facts on screen makes it easier to see my accomplishments and failures.

"All mentors have a way of seeing more faults than we would like. It's the only way we grow." Padme

Although we sometimes think we could be "happier", I haven't been this happy in a long time. I am happily married to a wonderful man and father. I have a great daughter who is growing up way too fast. I have the best job ever, with the greatest boss. I am constantly learning, being challenged, and just having fun! The fact that I can help people get jobs, and start new careers just adds to the fun. Coaching and mentoring people is my next level I am shootng for.

I value and honor my relationships. I have had some very close relationships, and I think about them every day, even if our lives have gone in different directions.

Life is what you believe to be true, it's your journey. Light is the ability to change one's self!! You are the only one that creates your reality!!!

"Realize how Important it is to release attachment and ego.

When you do release them, you will experience everlasting joyful realization, inner freedom, inner liberation..."
--Lama Thubten Yeshe

"Only if outward and inner freedom are constantly and consciously pursued is there a possibility of spiritual development and perfection and thus of improving man's outward and inner life."
--Albert Einstein

So long as we believe ourselves to be limited individuals with an ego, suffering and self limitation arises. When ego is transcended, we abide in our true nature, free from suffering, from fear, anger, sadness, judgment, manipulation. This is called moksha, meaning freedom, liberation, or enlightenment, a permanent state of ego-transcendence.

Self-realization and God-realization describe the spectrum of Enlightenment and Freedom: from Awakening to the knowledge of the true Self, to mystical union with the Divine."
