Kimmy's Favorite Music

I know, it's not my music, but this next video below is my favorite music ever! Especially this song! The single reached number one on the Billboard Hot 100 on April 14, 1979, remaining in that position for one week. The song received Grammy Awards in 1980 for both Song of the Year and Record of the Year. Go Kenny!!!

What A Fool Believes

He came from somewhere back in her long ago
The sentimental fool don't see
Tryin' hard to recreate
What had yet to be created once in her life
She musters a smile
For his nostalgic tale
Never coming near what he wanted to say
Only to realized
It never really was
She had a place in his life
He never made her think twice
As she rises to her apology
Anybody else would surely know
He's watching her go
But what a fool believes he sees
No wise man has the power to reason away
What seems to be
Is always better than nothing
And nothing at all keeps sending him ...
Somewhere back in her long ago
Where he can still believe
There's a place in her life
Someday, somewhere, she will return
She had a place in his life
He never made her think twice
As she rises to her apology
Anybody else would surely know
He's watching her go
But what a fool believes he sees
No wise man has the power to reason away
What seems to be
Is always better than nothing
There's nothing at all
But what a fool believes he sees ...

Regarding Ari

Regarding Ari

A life cut short

I can't seem to find the words to say just how I feel

The pain is ever growing since you have gone.

I stop by to say I miss you, I can still see your eyes and smile.

I would give most anything if I could rewrite history...

Poem of Loss

In my heart
I thought of you with love today.
But that is nothing new.
I thought about you yesterday
And days before that too.

I think of you in silence.
I often speak your name.
Now all I have is memories.
And your picture in a frame.

Your memory is my keepsake.
With which I’ll never part.
God has you in his keeping.
I have you in my heart.

Eu quis conservá-lo Ari, para dizer-lhe que você era assim muito especial a mim. Você está em meu coração para sempre.

In Memory of Ari

This site was started after I learned of the unfortunate lost of life.

Ari M. Squire was a friend many years ago. His kindness towards me had never gone forgotten.

Kimmy Sharing Light was created to share light with others. To share light, and love, and kindness.

I say daily prayers to all families involved to seek and find peace within.

Poems and Thoughts

Remember me when I am gone away

It’s commonly believed that ‘we meet to depart’ and we depart so that we can meet again. Saying good bye is always very difficult as it inculcates in mind feelings of loss and sadness. No matter how long we stay, we end up sharing a deep bond of love and attachment with each other. Good Bye is not just a word of farewell but in fact a time to remember the good old moments you spent with the person. A vestige of the thoughts that once I had.

"It is impossible to see the Angel unless you first have a notion of it."

I control all who surround me

Even the one who controls me

No one will take my place

I will repay all actions in kind

Through my work

My soul burns

In the memory of you

My eyes open upon a beautiful day
Full of hope, memories and desire
You are in my arms holding my soul
Enticing me into the fire
And for moments so true I am whole

I love you with a passion
I knew not I owned
With each minute that drifts
I love thee as a butterfly loves
the wind beneath its wings
as the sunshine owns the day

Together we belong
within each others love
My soul seeks
with eyes ever seeing

Be Success

Only when you're able to accept the possibility of getting it wrong will you have the persistence to get it right. Meaningful success rarely comes from a single transaction.

Success is a consistent pattern more than it is an isolated event. It is the way you live rather than some object or experience you acquire.

In fact, the way to truly have success is to be success. Success is yours when you persistently embody the discipline, the integrity, the positive attitude, the respect and all the other attributes of which it is made.

Beware of Ego

Ego seeks--darkness, covering, lying, reframing, defenses, rationalizations, the abuse excuse, blaming others, blaming society, blaming the environment, blaming childhood experiences, damning others, persecuting others, suppression, repression, whining, avoiding, escaping, etc.,--as ways of escaping and avoiding the light.

If it takes pain and suffering to correct a wounded ego and raise self-esteem, then that pain and suffering is meaningful and should be seen as a gift for future peace of mind.

Taming the ego is really about raising one's self-esteem, and this is first done by refining one's inner self-talk to be calming, positive, supportive and self-loving so reactivity is no longer a necessary weapon against inner shame.

Quiet negative self-talk and pursue peace of mind. It is the way to successfully engage in meaningful and loving relationships with others. It is only when our own egos are healthy, can we truly give love and support to others. A person with an unhealthy ego finds love and support foreign and beyond their reach.

One moment after another

Every moment is a drop of light or darkness, happiness or sadness, integrity or deceit, togetherness or isolation.

Every moment is your own perception of who you are, what is going on and how you want to continue.

Every moment is yours to savor or reject, hold dear or ignore, remain awake or go to sleep, cherish or get through.

Every moment presents you with choices and opportunities for growth or stagnation.

Every moment builds upon another and another and another until you have lived your life....

One moment after another.

On Children
Kahlil Gibran

'Your children are not your children.
They are the sons and daughters of Life's longing for itself.
They come through you but not from you,
And though they are with you yet they belong not to you.

You may give them your love but not your thoughts,
For they have their own thoughts.
You may house their bodies but not their souls,
For their souls dwell in the house of tomorrow,
which you cannot visit, not even in your dreams.
You may strive to be like them,
but seek not to make them like you.
For life goes not backward nor tarries with yesterday.

You are the bows from which your children
as living arrows are sent forth.
The archer sees the mark upon the path of the infinite,
and He bends you with His might
that His arrows may go swift and far.
Let our bending in the archer's hand be for gladness;
For even as He loves the arrow that flies,
so He loves also the bow that is stable.'

W. Somerset Maugham
The Painted Veil 1925

We are not the same persons this year as last; nor are those we love. It is a happy chance if we, changing, continue to love a changed person.

The love that lasts longest is the love that is never returned.

Beauty is an ecstasy; it is as simple as hunger. There is really nothing to be said about it. It is like the perfume of a rose: you can smell it and that is all.

Charm and nothing but charm at last grows a little tiresome. It's a relief then to deal with a man who isn't quite so delightful but a little more sincere.

If nobody spoke unless he had something to say, the human race would very soon lose the use of speech.

One can be very much in love with a woman without wishing to spend the rest of one's life with her.

One cannot find peace in work or in pleasure, in the world or in a convent, but only in one's soul.

There is only one way to win hearts and that is to make oneself like unto those of whom one would be loved.

Women are often under the impression that men are much more madly in love with them than they really are.

On Sharing the Light

On Sharing the Light

PhotobucketWho is Kimmy and why do I share the light?

All the advice you ever gave anyone is for you to hear.  - Byron Katie

I want to take this phrase and post it all over my website.  This is the foundation of Kimmy Sharing Light.

When we share with others, we are truly expressing what we have changed, or want to change within ourselves.  Why do you think people roll their eyes at us when hear advice from us?  Those receivers of information from us think we are completely off our rocker giving advice that we sometimes do not take heed ourselves.

Kimmy Sharing Light is to recognize the reason we are sharing, is to embed the command in our own minds.

The heart of love knows the spirit of Soul,
And by the present practice of this perspective,
Shall the journey home be commenced,
And someday our destination shall meet within.

To discover again, the true substance we are.
And what am I but Soul, And what is Soul but that I am;
The substance of beingness,
Expressing the consciousness of Spirit.

I embrace change, imperfection and the ups and downs of life. I live for accountability and enlightenment.

I started this journal when I lost a friend of mine. He felt there was no way out. He felt that circumstances could not be changed. I pray for his family, and the families of all involved to seek peace.

Soul searching and self discovery comes from within. However, much can be learned from everyone around you. I find that with a record of events, one can seek to learn from previous steps and stop running the same circle. Getting the facts on screen makes it easier to see my accomplishments and failures.

Take what you need, leave the rest. Or don't.

"All mentors have a way of seeing more faults than we would like. It's the only way we grow." Padme

I am happily married to a wonderful man and father.

I have a great daughter in college, working full time, and being an all around super person.

I love my job. Being a recruiter, and helping people get back to work in this crazy economy has been very fulfilling.  I am constantly learning, being challenged, and just having fun! The fact that I can help people get jobs, and start new careers just adds to the fun. Coaching and mentoring people is my next level I am shooting for.

I have also cut ties on toxic people. There are some people that no matter how you try, these few love to be miserable, and only find happiness when they can drag others down.

Many people can talk the talk, some people really know how to walk the walk, but it is a rare few who get to dance the dance!

When you do release them, you will experience everlasting joyful realization, inner freedom, inner liberation..."
--Lama Thubten Yeshe

"Only if outward and inner freedom are constantly and consciously pursued is there a possibility of spiritual development and perfection and thus of improving man's outward and inner life."
--Albert Einstein

So long as we believe ourselves to be limited individuals with an ego, suffering and self limitation arises. When ego is transcended, we abide in our true nature, free from suffering, from fear, anger, sadness, judgment, manipulation. This is called moksha, meaning freedom, liberation, or enlightenment, a permanent state of ego-transcendence.

Self-realization and God-realization describe the spectrum of Enlightenment and Freedom: from Awakening to the knowledge of the true Self, to mystical union with the Divine."
