Your Loving Influence...

Can Shape The World

Each of us has a divine assignment: to live in and express love. It is a task you are uniquely equipped to perform. Nobody else will ever know the exact mix of people that you do. Nobody else will ever have the opportunities you do to bless their lives.

You have been designated to leave a loving impression on your partner, parents, children, neighbors, co-workers and a whole host of people you have yet to encounter.

Like George Bailey in “It’s a Wonderful Life,” you cannot begin to imagine how your loving influence can shape the world.

Compassionate Blog Award!

Thank you my angel Maitri, I am blessed beyond words. I am so sorry I didn't post this sooner. I am honored to be a part of this lovely testimony.

Here is a little about this special award. Please visit the link below to participate!

Dear Friends,

I have been doing my 300 drops a day on entrecard and some are very random as I try to drop back on everyone who drops on me but sometimes they are not blogs that fit with my philosophies so I thought, "Why not start my own Mr. Linky List to gather together in one place all of the wonderful blogs that are dedicated to Compassionate Living. This may take many shapes and forms. Maybe you are an "artist with heart." Perhaps you are dedicated to animal welfare, or have a cause that you support that is rooted in compassion and loving-kindness. There are so many possibilities, the spectrum is wide and as many colors of the rainbow.

I am not looking for SEO blogs, or blogs that are nothing but ads, or who have a high ad content and almost no real heartfelt blog posts for the simple joy of connection with others. It is in this spirit that I am creating this list so that I can drop on you and support blogs that I really believe in. In addition to this I am designing a "Compassionate Living Blog Award" and every Sunday I will review the blogs that have signed up so far and on Sundays I will put their widget up as high as possible in the sidebar in a little section called, "Compassionate Living Blog Of The Week." A free week of advertising as a thank you for your kind and gentle efforts in the world.

IN ADDITION TO THIS: I will be creating, this week, a new page on my newly designed nine year old website, Dragonfly Cottage, that will house, forever after (as long as the blogs are live), all of the widgets of all of the winners of the awards.

My heartfelt thanks to one and all. I hope you will join soon, and you must leave a comment after your link goes up. That's the way the Mr. Linky links work! I will be keeping a close eye on the list and any inappropriate links will be removed.

Rules of the Road

It's important that you understand several rules of the road as you learn from one's mistakes:

Rule #1: Admit to it right away! Be proactive and seek out everyone who needs to know. Take responsibility. Don't create blame.

Rule #2:Clean it up. Do whatever is necessary to make the situation whole again for those around you. Remember, making a tighter cycle will help you to not make a mess so big that you become bogged down cleaning up after your mistakes.

Rule #3: Learn from the experience. Focus on what worked, while addressing what did not work. Communicate what you have learned to others so they don't make the same mistakes you did. Also, learn from your obstacles, but don't make them so big that they drain power in your ability to move on.

Rule #4: Do not do that one again. Go on with other possibilities. Keep the cycle moving. There is a whole world of new opportunities to examine.

Rule #5: Keep Moving Forward Come back to your goal and continue to move forward. You can't create results if you constantly sit on what has gone wrong. That doesn't mean you don't learn the lesson you need to learn. That's part of the review.

We keep moving forward, opening new doors, and doing new things, because we're curious and curiosity keeps leading us down new paths. -Walt Disney

Hints to Self on Fellowship

While on your eye-opening journey, you cannot imitate the conventional lives of other people. You might have to make some changes, and particularly some sacrifices, if you are to follow a path whose goal is different from the norm.

Find some time for meditation and study, some time when you can fully and truly be yourself. This requires, however short, a daily period of solitude.

Here is the most important piece to understand. You have to be careful of what company you keep so you will not be constantly responding to their auras, either in struggle or in defense.

What is your Relationship Pattern?

In the past few years, my friends and family have all come to me with questions on their relationships. I have struggled with helping them, trying to point out errors in their judgement and choice.

This morning, I realized that I was going about it in the wrong way. People have to recognize the behavior patterns, rather than the individual situations. Today's blog is dedicated to the ones I have frustrated more than I helped.

Many men and women know the definition of insanity (doing the same thing over and over again, and expecting a different result) and in spite of this knowledge, they continue to date or marry the same type of person while expecting a different result.

Most coaches who have been practicing for a few years are familiar with this pattern. Usually those individuals who practice relationship insanity only enter therapy because they are in intense pain and they are desperate.

Most of these people want their circumstances to be different, but they often don't want to change their behavior that is contributing to their pain.

It is very common to have a friend nod in agreement when I point out WHY they are having trouble and then repeat the same behavior. If it wasn't so tragic, it would be funny.

If you have friends going through this, help them identify their particular pattern. Focusing only on an isolated incident isn't very effective because most people believe it is a one time occurrence caused by circumstances beyond their control.

They truly believe that they are an innocent victim who is powerless over their current circumstance (usually regarding a romantic relationship). They look for the "mistake" they made with a particular person and seek what to do to fix the relationship.

Those who insisted that all they needed to do was find the right person were destined to continue their downward spiral indefinitely regardless of the amount of relationship advice or intense therapy they undertook.

When a person is willing to learn from their accept responsibility for their patterns, they then have the ability to change those patterns and get the results that they want because it's will always be true -- Patterns don't lie.

Inspired from an articles I found via google this morning, regarding relationships.

Stand Still

Many times, as we are moving ahead in the path of our life, we find ourselves at a stand still. There seems to be no progress at all in any aspect of our life. We try to bring about a few changes that work, but after sometime we find ourselves stressed out and we stop trying.

We need to have the vision of the result constantly in front of our eyes. We need to ask ourselves what is it that we expect out of ourselves, to be a source of inspiration to others, to keep learning.... it could be anything that inspires us to constantly move ahead while appreciating all that life brings.

My joy is my service.

Incarnated Angels - Reading Today

Are You An Earth Angel? by Doreen Virtue, Ph.D.

Author's Note: The information I’m presenting is merely a description of the personality-related, behavioral, and physical characteristics of angels, similar to the type of information found in astrology books. Those who are Earth Angels will relate to the concepts in this book; however, others may misunderstand or even object to the material herein. My intention is to help and to heal, but sometimes such actions create controversy.

Do you feel different from other people, as if you were dropped off on this planet and wonder when someone’s coming to take you home? If so, then you may be an Earth Angel. If you have a passion and talent for healing, teaching, or helping others, yet you yourself have substance-abuse problems, weight issues, relationship challenges, and the like, then you may be an Earth Angel. If you’re highly sensitive and you abhor violence in any form, then you may very well be an Earth Angel!

An Earth Angel is a soul with non-Earthly origins. Although all souls originate from the same Divine source, our environment and personal history often shape our personalities and physical characteristics. For instance, those who spend most of their time surfing at tropical beaches will have different looks and mannerisms than people who hole up in their inner-city offices every day.

Similarly, all of the lives you’ve previously lived have impacted you. And, just as your physical family-of-origin influences you, so does your soul’s family-of-origin shape your looks, behavior, and even your life’s purpose. Again, the inside of everyone is the same: a beautiful, pristine spark of Divine light. However, as a lightworker, your spark of light may have spent time in heavenly realms far from our Earth. Those lifetimes that you’ve logged in the angelic realm, the elemental kingdom, or on other planets have influenced who you are today. Although you inhabit a human body, your soul feels like a traveler in a foreign country—because that is, in essence, what you are.

Old friends pass away, new friends appear.

It is just like the days. An old day passes, a new day arrives.

The important thing is to make it meaningful: a meaningful friend -- or a meaningful day. -- Dalai Lama

A Great Circle

You have noticed that everything as Indian does is in a circle, and that is because the Power of the World always works in circles, and everything tries to be round.

The Sky is round, and I have heard that the earth is round like a ball, and so are all the stars. The wind, in its greatest power, whirls.

Even the seasons form a great circle in their changing, and always come back again to where they were. The life of a man is a circle from childhood to childhood, and so it is in everything where power moves.

Un Amore Per Sempre - One Love Forever

Josh Groban - Un Amore Per Sempre - One Love Forever

Resta forse quel sogno
Una storia di amanti
ma la fine vai via
da me

Cuesta cita che mi penso
deserto di lacrime
Sento il cuore affogare en me
Mentre tu sei con lui

Diccono che no se muore nel'amore
Non perdi mai
Io me sento morire ormai
fuoco dentro di me

So pure che dovre essere felice per te
Ma, mentirei, perche volgio che resti con me

Un amore per sempre
Dura solo un istante
Sono tanti ricordi
che svaniscono en te

Resta forse quel sogno
una storia di amanti
Ma la fine di verlo
tene vai, vai con duole

Un amore per sempre
dura solo un istante
Sono troppi ricordi
che svaniscono en te
Resta quel che momento
forse solo un istante
Ma la fine vai via
lontano da me

Oh, no! Here is that moment
I feared for a long time, you know
I already know
what it is you are going to tell me,
that it's the end of us.

I know that with him
you feel freer
to accept his love;
to count on him more

What a shock to me,
I who gave you everything inside of me
As you go you are taking my heart with you

One love forever
lasts only an instant (a moment)
There are so many memories
that vanish with you
Only that dream remains,
the story of lovers,
but in the end you will leave me.

This city that I think of myself as being
is deserted of tears
I feel my heart drowning inside of me
while you are with him.

They say that you don't die from love;
You don't loose anything;
But now I feel that fire dying within me

I also know I should be happy for you
But I lie, because
I wish you to stay here with me

A love forever
lasts only an instant (moment)
there are so many memories
that will vanish with you
Only that dream remains
that story of lovers
But, in the end
you will leave
you will leave, leave in pain

A love forever
lasts only a moment
there are so many memories
that will vanish with you
Only that moment remains
if only for an instant
but in the end
you will leave
(and be) far from me.

I am responsible

The law of Karma works in this way: if I have given sorrow there will be some form of sorrow returning to me. It may not be precisely in the way that old-fashioned people would speak about an 'eye for any eye and tooth for a tooth', but certainly some sort of seed has been sown. If it was a seed that gave pain and sorrow then the fruit that I receive in turn will be bitter.

The time period between the performing of an action and the resultant reaction is variable. Just as different seeds need different periods of time in which to germinate, to grow and to produce fruit, so one cannot always determine which action it was that has led to this particular reaction but certainly if I am seeing a reaction, an effect, there must be a cause and the cause is not an external cause. The cause is I myself. In any situation that I find myself, nobody else, absolutely nobody else is responsible; it is I. It seems to be a very bitter law sometimes, in that it is the one that is absolutely inescapable.

An understanding of the law of Karma teaches us how to do pure action; we can then guarantee that, for the future, reactions will always be good, powerful and positive. It is possible to have a pill that can cure sickness for all time and that is the pill of Karma.

By the time you are real

Generally, by the time you are Real, most of your hair has been loved off, and your eyes drop out and you get loose in the joints and very shabby. But these things don't matter at all, because once you are Real you can't be ugly, except to people who don't understand.

What is a Soulmate part 2

Originally posted on Kimmy Sharing Light on 6/28/2008 (Added new info!)

Soulmates are our soul family, the ones we do have many lifetimes and experiences with, who help us grow and evolve, create and dissipate karma. According to ancient wisdom, when the soul is "born" or descended from Source, it is created in a group. The souls in this group are our soulmates, ones who are very like us in frequency makeup. Then each of these souls is split into two, creating the twins.

A soulmate is someone you are close to at a soul level, and with whom you have had many shared experiences in different lifetimes, in various kinds of relationships; siblings, parent-child, best friend, as well as romantic relationships. There is a deep love for each other, and a spiritual bond that sets them apart from the superficiality of most other people in your life. Conversations are generally deep, about personal growth and service to make the world a better place. We can have many soulmates in our lives, and they come to us to help us grow spiritually.

Twin Flame reunions are the most fulfilling relationships we can enter into as humans, on all levels. However, twin flame couples have been extremely rare on the planet, and for good reasons. Despite this, we are finding that more and more twins are finding each other now, because of the acceleration of spiritual transformation and opportunities for soul evolution we are all experiencing.

However, many of these attempts at reunion are unsuccessful because the individual people are not quite ready for the intensity of a twin flame union. It is more intense than any other union, and this intensity is at a soul level, not as much in the physical or even emotional bodies. This doesn't mean that there isn't a good attraction at those levels as well, but the strongest attraction is of spirit. This is one of the distinguishing characteristics of a twin soul. Many people think they have met their twin because the attraction is so intense, but it is a karmic attraction, one of need or bodily desire rather than the Divine Love of twins.

When twins reunite, both of them experience an acceleration of their spiritual growth and awakening. Yet, there is a closeness and similarities of spirit that are almost uncanny, noticed in many ways, such as looking back at yourself when you look at your mate, and a remembering of the distant past when you first split up.

Their connection is telepathic, and hugging each other is like coming home for nourishment.

Christine from Live Passionately emailed me more info on Twin Flames

Twin Flame

As twin flames you are brought within an experience together to work side by side for the betterment of a planet or solar system. Many times the elements that were used to create a universe or planet were originally created from your essences. By this joining you are now intertwined; the meeting of two light beams that now shine as one. You have known each other for eons and worked together on many levels. Together you have created many offspring and loved on many levels of creation. When you are together it is best to both be aware of what you are creating because it has lasting effects on the world around you. There may be as many as twelve of these connections existing, usually no more than seven. Some light beings that are incarnate have from one to six twin flames here in form at this time.

Most humans do not have a twin flame here; they are working within higher dimensions or living on other planets at this time. Most of you have a twin flame waiting for you on the other side. Working with you like a guardian angel does, helping you to accomplish your highest goals. Helping you to fulfill God's will for you and for the planet you live upon is the only reason you would be rejoined on earth. Note: If both of you are not willing to serve together, you will part from each other.

Twin Flames usually have instant attractions, as do many twin souls but, when fears becomes involved, the one in fear will choose to separate. One has to stay within the 5th and 6th dimension or higher to remain connected with a twin flame or twin soul. You could be in each other’s lives without knowing this connection exists and be experiencing 3rd and 4th dimensions, but to have the knowing and mutual experience of the love truly felt between you, both of your vibrations and awareness must match that of vibrations that are higher than 5th dimension

My Angels of Light

"Give of yourself as the Angels do, and wonderful things will come to you." - Ramadan

We are in a season of giving and a season of light. Angels, beings made of light, they can assume almost any form, completely real to the human eye, and traverse a distance just as fast as light or faster.

I would like to share with you a book that I bought recently.

I cannot speak enough about this book. There is a beauty that I cannot describe with words. Pages upon pages of Spirit Guides, Archangels, Ascended Masters, and Givers of Light. These angels are from all faiths, and all genres of creation. Each page tells you of the strengths of each Angel, how to contact, and how they can help.

The illustrations are simply gorgeous.

You can visit Susan's site here.

This would be a great gift to yourself or others.

This is an unsolicited post. I am simply sharing her work because I have been blessed to find her site, and so happy I decided to buy her work.

My Zen reading for Sunday

Turning inwards is not a turning at all. Going inwards is not a going at all. Turning inwards simply means that you have been running after this desire and that, and you have been running and running and you have been coming again and again to frustration. That each desire brings misery, that there is no fulfillment through desire. That you never reach anywhere, that contentment is impossible. Seeing this truth, that running after desires takes you nowhere, you stop. Not that you make any effort to stop. If you make any effort to stop it is again running, in a subtle way. You are still desiring--maybe now it is desirelessness that you desire. If you are making an effort to go in, you are still going out. Any effort can only take you out, outwards. All journeys are outward journeys, there is no inward journey. How can you journey inwards? You are already there, there is no point in going. When going stops, journeying disappears; when desiring is no more clouding your mind, you are in. This is called turning in. But it is not a turning at all, it is simply not going out.

From Kimmy: This is a great enlightenment for me today. All journeys are outward.

Osho This Very Body The Buddha Chapter 9

The woman in this image has a faint smile on her face. In fact she is just watching the antics of the mind--not judging, not trying to stop them, not identified, just watching as if they were traffic on the road, or ripples on the surface of a pond. And the antics of the mind are slightly amusing, as it jumps up and down and twists this way and that, trying to get your attention and seduce you into the game. To develop the knack of taking a distance from the mind is one of the greatest blessings. It is what meditation is all about really--not chanting a mantra, or repeating an affirmation, but just watching, as if the mind belongs to somebody else. You are ready to take this distance now, and to watch the show without getting caught up in the drama. Indulge yourself in the simple freedom of Turning In whenever you can, and the knack of meditation will grow and deepen in you.

We may not have it all together, but together we have it all

When I saw this quote this morning, I knew it would make for a great Sunday blog.

My husband came to me last week. He told me that his sister in Rockford, Illinois did not have the money to fix her heater. He wanted to loan her some money. He told me, that he knows that we are in financial struggles as well, but at least we have each other.

I have to say, I was near tears. My husband is a sweet caring person, but rarely is able to communicate how he feels. I realized that I have been the lucky one to have found him.

So today when he is watching football, playing video games, or she is out shopping, or on the phone, perhaps you can realize you already have exactly what you need.

I have.

Rick, this is for you. Thank you.

Listen for the voice that speaks with heart

How important is the tone of voice, no matter what position we hold in life. The voice of authority, the demanding, commanding and authoritative voice has little lasting effect upon its audience. But the voice of kindness, the cheerful and friendly voice creates receptivity that few can resist.

The voice on the telephone creates a picture for the listener. With the business of the world being run to a very great extent by telephone, it is of the utmost importance what sort of picture that should be. No matter how sharp, strong, hard, flat, weak or soft, that voice creates an impression. If only we could have our voices played back, we would hear ourselves in one of those categories.

Even animals and children respond to voices as they truly are. All the actions in the world speak loudly, but the voice of love, the voice of friendship, and the voice of encouragement are the sweetest of all sounds.

The truly sincere quality in the voice is from the nature within, springing from concern for those about us, the divine love, the deep feeling for all life. unknown

Are you ready to let go?

Spiritual maturity lies in the readiness to let go of everything.

Giving up is the first step. But the real giving up is in realizing that there is nothing to give up, for nothing is your own.

I have to let go of being judgmental of how other people walk in their journey. Sharing light does not mean shoving people towards my path. It should not matter if I am watching them take a wrong turn. How will they ever learn if they don't have missteps?

What do you need to let go of?

Can you see
That people try?
That people love?
That we all cry...

To be understood
To have you see
The goals in our minds
The thoughts in our hearts

It's in your eyes
That we all die
But in my heart
I am

Who has impacted your life?

As we approach a new day, consider making a list of five individuals and be an encouragement to them. Tell them how they have impacted your life.

It is possible that they are now going though a difficult time and need to be uplifted and encouraged.

I think back to the many dear angels who taught me.

My service is my joy.

The Angel Book by Karen Goldman

This is a must buy, or borrow from library. After taking it out three times, I had to own it!

Excerpts from The Angel Book by Karen Goldman

Angels sail through our lives like ships of light visiting us through the portals of our hearts.

An angel is like an arrow of light cutting through the dark.

An angel's wingspan is broad enough to lift the heart of the entire world.

Angels encourage everyone in the direction they really want to go...up.

The warmth of an angel's light can comfort and illuminate the whole world.

The light in children's eyes is the reflection of Heaven peeking through.

Angels are the bright lights in the midst of our lives.

Climb Higher

Some days it's hard to stay motivated. A few words of spiritual encouragement can go a long way to remind us why we're doing what we're doing and give us that little push to climb higher on the spiritual path.

If you want others to be happy, practice compassion. If you want to be happy, practice compassion. - Dalai Lama

Thousands of candles can be lit from a single candle,
and the life of the candle will not be shortened.
Happiness never decreases by being shared. - Buddhist saying

Happiness does not come from having much, but from being attached to little. - Master Cheng Yen

To be angry is to let others' mistakes punish yourself.
To forgive others is to be good to yourself. - Master Cheng Yen

Whenever you hear that someone else has been successful, rejoice.
Always practice rejoicing for others - whether your friend or your enemy.
If you cannot practice rejoicing, no matter how long you live, you will not be happy. - Lama Zopa Rinpoche

Universal Love Prayer

May all beings be filled with joy and peace.
May all beings everywhere,
The strong and the weak,
The great and the small,
The mean and the powerful,
The short and the long,
the subtle and the gross:

May all beings everywhere,
Seen and unseen,
Dwelling far off or nearby,
Being or waiting to become:
May all be filled with lasting joy.

Let no one deceive another,
Let no one anywhere despise another,
Let no one out of anger or resentment
Wish suffering on anyone at all.

Just as a mother with her own life
Protects her child, her only child, from harm,
So within yourself let grow
A boundless love for all creatures.

Let your love flow outward through the universe,
To its height, its depth, its broad extent,
A limitless love, without hatred or enmity.

Then as you stand or walk,
Sit or lie down,
As long as you are awake,
Strive for this with a one-pointed mind;
Your life will bring heaven to earth.

Happy Thanksgiving

Happy Thanksgiving!

It is Thanksgiving morning, and I am grateful. I am grateful today is the day I have been preparing for. I am having Thanksgiving at my house.

As I was cleaning, I came across a magnet that slipped under my refrigerator.

It said..

The best things in life are not things.

So, here I am, getting ready for twenty people today, and I am calm. My guests are not coming here to judge my dust levels. They are here to gather with friends and family.

I feel a sense of relief, and wished I found that magnet before a week of stress.

This is how we grow.

Happy Thanksgiving my friends!

Letting People Know You Love Them

It’s easy to take our feelings for granted and to assume that the people we care about know how we feel about them. But while those we love are often quite cognizant of our feelings, saying "I love you" is a gift we should give to our loved ones whenever we can. Letting people know you love them is an important part of nurturing any kind of loving relationship. Few people tire of being told they are loved, and saying "I love you" can make a world of difference in someone’s life, take a relationship to a new level, or reaffirm and strengthen a steady bond. Everyone needs to hear the words "I love you." Three simple words – I - Love - You. When you declare your love for someone you admit to them that you care for them in the most significant way.

It can be difficult to express your love using words, particularly if you grew up around people that never expressed their affection verbally. But you should never be afraid to say "I love you" or worry that doing so will thrust you into a position of excessive vulnerability. It is important to share your feelings with those that matter to you. Part of the fulfillment that comes with loving someone is telling them that you love them. Besides, love exists to be expressed, not withheld.

If you love someone, let them know. Don’t be afraid of the strength of your emotions or worry that your loved one won’t feel the same way. Besides, the words "I love you" are often best said to another without expectation of a return investment. As each one of us is filled with an abundance of love, there is never any worry that you’ll run out of love if your expression of love isn’t said back to you. Saying, "I love you" is a gift of the heart sent directly via words to the heart of a recipient. Even though it may not always look that way, love from the heart is an offering that is always unconditional and given without strings attached. That is the true essence of the gift of "I love you."

Wind Beneath my Sails

Once in a lifetime you meet that
certain someone who will leave
an everlasting impression with you

Someone who is always there to
sooth your heart when the days
seem so trying as it may

Dropping moments in their life
to lend a helping hand to help
heal a heavy heart

Sharing moments of joy, tears,
and laughter, expressing the
inner most private moments of
each other's life

Walking on air should I have asked
even though it is impossible you
always made me feel like you would

Growing up with you was the
happiest years of my life
Sharing all the moments with each
others trust and bond that carried
us through our adult years

I want to thank you for always being
there for me, always knowing the
gifted words of wisdom that carried
me through many a storm

You walked by my side without
any words to be spoken, you
carried me when I fell

Brought me through valleys of despair
Looking back, I will always be eternally
grateful for all you are to me as you
are the wind beneath my sails

Angels are always nearby

Angels are always nearby, ready to encourage us through inspiration, lighten our hearts, and remind us that where there is life, there is joy.

May the road rise up to meet you.
May the wind be always at your back.
May the sun shine warm upon your face
And rains fall soft upon your fields
And until we meet again

(It has been a busy week my friends! My joy is my service. I was at Mom's all day remodeling her basement. Time to snuggle up under the blanket!)

May We Feel Compassion

May each of us find our true path, learn from our mistakes, and accept each other's pathway and not feel, show, or express disapproval with the choices the other makes.

May we feel compassion instead of hatred, love instead of anger, and an acceptance not only of others but of ourselves as well.

May each of us do all of the above in a mindful way.

A Spiritual Warrior

Life offers us the opportunity to become a Spiritual Warrior.
A warrior is one who bravely goes into those dark areas within themselves to ferret out the Truth of their being.
It takes great courage, stamina and endurance to become a Spiritual Warrior.

The path is narrow, the terrain rough and rocky.
You will walk alone: through the dark caves, up those steep climbs and through the dense thick forest.
You will meet your dark side. The faces of fear, deceit, and sadness all await your arrival.
No one can take this journey but you.

There comes a time, in each of our lives, when we are given the choice to follow this path.
Should we decide to embark on this journey, we can never turn back.... Our lives are changed forever.

On this journey, there are many different places we can choose to slip into and hide. But the path goes on.
The Spiritual Warrior stays the course, wounded at times, exhausted and out of energy.
Many times, the Warrior will struggle back to their feet to take only a few steps before falling again.

Rested, they forge on, continuing the treacherous path.
The journey continues. The Spiritual Warrior stays the course.
Weakened, but never broken.
One day, the battle, loneliness and desperate fights are over.
The sun breaks through the clouds; the birds begin to sing their sweet melodies.
There is a change in the energy.
A deep change within the self.
The warrior has fought the courageous fight.
The battle of the dark night of the soul is won.

New energy now fills the Warrior.
A new path is now laid before them.
A gentler path filled with the inner-knowing of one who has personal empowerment.
With their personal battle won, they are filled with joy.
A new awareness that they are one with the Spirit beams as they go forth to show others the way.
They are not permitted to walk the path for others.
They can only love, guide and be a living example of the Truth of their being.

Monday wishes

Blessings Angels!

Just sending you a few quotes that have come my way the past couple of days!!!

- A great mentor is one who aims for others' abilities to surpass her own.
- Fall seven times, stand up eight.
- We can try many ways to get rid of the darkness, but none is as effective as simply increasing the light.

Spiritual journey begins when the worldly affairs take the backseat.

An angel, like a butterfly, knows it is a great privilege to fly, even if only for a moment.

Thank you for the Inner Fire

“In everyone's life, at some time, our inner fire goes out. It is then burst into flame by an encounter with another human being. We should all be thankful for those people who rekindle the inner spirit.” Albert Schweitzer

I cannot thank my friends enough for inspiring me when I need it the most. I wish you plenty of love, light, and abundant blessings.

Love and Time

Once upon a time, there was an island where all the feelings lived: Happiness, Sadness, Knowledge, and all of the others, including Love. One day it was announced to the feelings that the island would sink, so all constructed boats and left. Except for Love.

Love was the only one who stayed. Love wanted to hold out until the last possible moment.

When the island had almost sunk, Love decided to ask for help.

Richness was passing by Love in a grand boat. Love said, "Richness, can you take me with you?"

Richness answered, "No, I can't. There is a lot of gold and silver in my boat. There is no place here for you."

Love decided to ask Vanity who was also passing by in a beautiful vessel. "Vanity, please help me!"
"I can't help you, Love. You are all wet and might damage my boat," Vanity answered.

Sadness was close by so Love asked, "Sadness, let me go with you."
"Oh . . . Love, I am so sad that I need to be by myself!"

Happiness passed by Love, too, but she was so happy that she did not even hear when Love called her.

Suddenly, there was a voice, "Come, Love, I will take you." It was an elder. So blessed and overjoyed, Love even forgot to ask the elder where they were going. When they arrived at dry land, the elder went her own way. Realizing how much was owed the elder,

Love asked Knowledge, another elder, "Who Helped me?"

"It was Time," Knowledge answered.

"Time?" asked Love. "But why did Time help me?"
Knowledge smiled with deep wisdom and answered, "Because only Time is capable of understanding how valuable Love is."

Embrace Everything

"The warrior has no greater joy than to walk a path with a heart. On this path he walks, thrilled by the wonder of it all, and in his joy he gives thanks in his heart for this marvelous privilege by embracing everything he encounters with love and gratitude."

The Potato Garden

An oldie but one of my favorites.

An old man lived alone in Minnesota. He wanted to spade his potato garden, but it was very hard work. His only son, who would have helped him,was in prison. The old man wrote a letter to his son and mentioned his situation:

Dear Son,

I am feeling pretty bad because it looks like I won't be able to plant
my potato garden this year. I hate to miss doing the garden because your
mother always loved planting time. I'm just getting too old to be
digging up a garden plot. If you were here, all my troubles would be over.

I know you would dig the plot for me, if you weren't in prison.

Shortly, the old man received this telegram: "For Heaven's sake, Dad,
don't dig up the garden!! That's where I buried the GUNS!!"

At 4 a.m. the next morning, a dozen FBI agents and local police
officers showed up and dug up the entire garden without finding any guns.

Confused, the old man wrote another note to his son telling him what
happened, and asked him what to do next.

His son's reply was: "Go ahead and plant your potatoes, Dad. It's the best I could do for you from here."

When I meditated on the word Guidance, I kept seeing "dance" at the end of the word. I remember reading that doing God's will is a lot like dancing. When two people try to lead, nothing feels right. The movement doesn't flow with the music, and everything is quite uncomfortable and jerky. When one person realizes that, and lets the other lead, both bodies begin to flow with the music. One gives gentle cues, perhaps with a nudge to the back or by pressing lightly in one direction or another. It's as if two become one body, moving beautifully. The dance takes surrender, willingness, and attentiveness from one person and gentle guidance and skill from the other.

My eyes drew back to the word Guidance. When I saw "G: I thought of God, followed by "u" and "i". "God, "u" and "i" dance." God, you, and I dance. As I lowered my head, I became willing to trust that I would get guidance about my life. Once again, I became willing to let God lead.

A Start - by Leo Buscaglia

A Start
by Leo Buscaglia

Each day, I promise myself not to try to solve all my life problems at
once -- nor shall I expect you to do so;

Starting each day, I shall try to learn something new about me and
about you and about the world I live in, so that I may continue to
experience all things as if they had been newly born;

Starting each day, I shall remember to communicate my joy as well as
my despair, so that we can know each other better;

Starting each day, I shall remind myself to really listen to you and
to try to hear your point of view and to discover the
least-threatening way of giving you mine, remembering that we are both
growing and changing in a hundred different ways;

Starting each day, I shall remind myself that I am a human being and
not demand perfection of you until I am perfect, so you're safe;

Starting each day, I shall try to be more aware of the beautiful
things in our world -- I'll look at the flowers, I'll look at the
birds, I'll look at the children, I'll feel the cool breezes, I'll eat
good food -- and I'll share these things with you;

Starting each day, I shall remind myself to reach out and touch you,
gently, with my words, my eyes and with my fingers, because I don't
want to miss feeling you;

Starting each day, I shall dedicate myself again to the process of
being a lover -- and then see what happens;
You know, I'm really convinced that if you were to define love, the
only word big enough to engulf it all would be "Life" -- LOVE IS LIFE
-- in all its aspects ... And if you miss love, you miss life !

Please don't !

Inner Self Angel

In order to contribute to life and provide value to others, you must first connect to the value that is within you.

To connect with and appreciate that unique inner value, look past all the superficial things undertaken or acquired only to impress others, and focus on what is sincerely you.

You are the state you are in! Let go of your concerns, your worries, your pretenses and anxieties, and truly enjoy the moment you are in.

By doing this, you will be much better equipped to deal with whatever difficult situations the world sends your way.

Surround yourself with love

At the end of the day, there is only one thing that can make you happy.

It is called love.

You were born for love. You are designed for it. Every cell of your body, every part of your soul is created for love.

People in their deathbeds never say, "I wish I had brought a Jaguar," or "I wish I had spent more time in my office…" Listen to people in their dying hour and you'll hear the same regret: "I wish I had spent more time loving…"

I believe that relationships are the most important things in our lives---more important than all the wealth in the world.

How many of you have tried to quench your thirst with saltwater? The only thing that saltwater does is make you even thirstier. Money is like saltwater. No amount of money will quench your inner thirst for love and happiness. It'll only make you thirstier. You want more and more and more until you drop dead from spiritual malnutrition.

Learn to love every day! Surround yourself with love! Everything you need to be happy is within you.

love and light,

The Butterfly

Throughout history the butterfly has been admired for their delicate beauty. Most adult butterflies live just one or two weeks except for the monarch and angel wing which can live for six months or more. This is very symbolic. It suggests that a person with this medicine will experience tremendous soul growth in their earlier years. A difficult childhood is common. Life lessons are revealed to the consciousness while in the womb of the mother - the cocoon stage - and are completed when the caterpillar emerges into the butterfly and takes flight. Butterflies are symbols of freedom and creativity. They hold the gift of transformation and soul evolution.

Butterflies have a pair of large compound oval eyes made up of thousands of individual lenses. They can see a single image clearly and are able to perceive ultraviolet wavelengths of light. This suggests clairvoyant abilities for those that hold this totem.

The antennae of the butterfly has small knobs on each end which is said to play a role in orientation. When one antennae is missing the butterfly will fly in circles unable to find its way. Those with this medicine need to stay consciously connected to spirit at all times in order to arrive at their desired destination.

The butterfly represents the process of transformation and shape shifting. When butterfly shows up, make note of the most important issues confronting you at the moment. What state of change are you at in regard to them?

To the Native Americans the butterfly is a symbol of joy. They remind us not to take life so seriously. They feed on flowers that they help pollinate, thereby further spreading beauty. They represent the element of air, quickly changing and ever moving, so gracefully. Butterflies are messengers of the moment. They come in a variety of colors. To understand the message that the butterfly holds for you a study of its colors can be helpful.

Whenever an eco system is damaged, butterfly is usually the first to leave. They are especially sensitive to the harmony of earth. If butterfly comes to you in a hurt, trapped or ill way, you are being asked to stop disturbing the natural design of life and to flow with events in a more gentle, natural way. - Unknown

Taken from the Chopra Center for Wellbeing

New design is coming!!! I am so excited!! Until then, let me share what I am learning today!

The Law of Karma

Law of Karma ... Every action generates a force of energy that returns to us in like kind . . . What we sow is what we reap. And when we choose actions that bring happiness and success to others, the fruit of our karma is happiness and success.

I will put the Law of Karma into effect by making a commitment to take the following steps:

1. Today I will witness the choices I make in each moment. And in the mere witnessing of these choices, I will bring them to my conscious awareness. I will know that the best way to prepare for any moment in the future is to be fully conscious in the present.

2. Whenever I make a choice, I will ask myself two questions: What are the consequences of this choice that I'm making? And will this choice bring fulfillment and happiness to me and also to those who are affected by this choice?

3. I will then ask my heart for guidance and be guided by its message of comfort or discomfort. If the choice feels comfortable, I will plunge ahead with abandon. If the choice feels uncomfortable, I will pause and see the consequences of my action with my inner vision. This guidance will enable me to make spontaneously correct choices for myself and for all those around me.

Stillness for clear reception

Emotional turbulence disrupts inner reception - like static in radio reception. The calmer the emotions, the more detail with which you can receive inner communications.

When the emotions achieve tremendous calm, then they become like a glassy lake, or a smooth mirror or window - thus allowing the passage of information with minimal distortion.

The stiller you are emotionally, the clearer you can inwardly "perceive". -unknown

Who is the real Kimmy?

So who is Kimmy? And why do I share the light? Am I real? Can I really be this way all of the time?

Kimmy is a full time IT Recruiter
Kimmy is a full time mom of a 17 year old daughter, trying to balance full time IT Recruiter. Still have to do all the mom things, and household chores!
Best friend and wife of my husband Rick for 18 years.

I am only 36!

Spreading light seems to be the only way I can truly survive. Life can drag us down at anytime. I myself became frustrated of trying to balance all that I wanted to accomplish! I noticed that the more I tried to do, the bitter I became. I also had friends that liked to live their life in negative and drama.

I finally had enough of my own and other's pity party.

So I decided to share only the light. To allow as much light, and allow people to see my wings.

My joy now is to service my friends and family with rays of happiness. To help others, and share the good within. The Law of Attraction tells me the more I send out, the more I will get back in abundance.

That is my message. And since that day, it has truly been this easy!

love, Kimmy

Please keep her going...

SHE JUST LEFT my house.

She is walking for ovarian cancer . Please pass her on so that she can reach her destination. Say a prayer for all those who are affected by this terrible disease. She's walking around the world --- via e-mail!! Pass it on so she can get there!

Please blog about her one day, so this woman stays animated.

Ovarian Cancer Whispers - so listen.. Watch for Pelvic or abdominal pain or discomfort; vague but persistent gastrointestinal upsets such as gas, nausea, and indigestion; frequency and / or urgency of urination in the absence of an infection; unexplained weight gain or weight loss; pelvic and / or abdominal swelling, bloating and / or feeling of fullness; ongoing unusual fatigue; or unexplained changes in bowel habits. If symptoms persist for more than 2 weeks, ask your doctor for a combination pelvic / rectal exam, CA-125 blood test, and transvaginal ultrasound. A Pap Test WILL NOT detect ovarian cancer.
