Blessings Angels!

Just sending you a few quotes that have come my way the past couple of days!!!
Namaste!!
Kimmy

- A great mentor is one who aims for others' abilities to surpass her own.
- Fall seven times, stand up eight.
- We can try many ways to get rid of the darkness, but none is as effective as simply increasing the light.

Spiritual journey begins when the worldly affairs take the backseat.

An angel, like a butterfly, knows it is a great privilege to fly, even if only for a moment.

Thank you for the Inner Fire

Sunday, November 16, 2008

“In everyone's life, at some time, our inner fire goes out. It is then burst into flame by an encounter with another human being. We should all be thankful for those people who rekindle the inner spirit.” Albert Schweitzer

I cannot thank my friends enough for inspiring me when I need it the most. I wish you plenty of love, light, and abundant blessings.

Love and Time

Saturday, November 15, 2008

Once upon a time, there was an island where all the feelings lived: Happiness, Sadness, Knowledge, and all of the others, including Love. One day it was announced to the feelings that the island would sink, so all constructed boats and left. Except for Love.

Love was the only one who stayed. Love wanted to hold out until the last possible moment.

When the island had almost sunk, Love decided to ask for help.

Richness was passing by Love in a grand boat. Love said, "Richness, can you take me with you?"

Richness answered, "No, I can't. There is a lot of gold and silver in my boat. There is no place here for you."

Love decided to ask Vanity who was also passing by in a beautiful vessel. "Vanity, please help me!"
"I can't help you, Love. You are all wet and might damage my boat," Vanity answered.

Sadness was close by so Love asked, "Sadness, let me go with you."
"Oh . . . Love, I am so sad that I need to be by myself!"

Happiness passed by Love, too, but she was so happy that she did not even hear when Love called her.

Suddenly, there was a voice, "Come, Love, I will take you." It was an elder. So blessed and overjoyed, Love even forgot to ask the elder where they were going. When they arrived at dry land, the elder went her own way. Realizing how much was owed the elder,

Love asked Knowledge, another elder, "Who Helped me?"

"It was Time," Knowledge answered.

"Time?" asked Love. "But why did Time help me?"
Knowledge smiled with deep wisdom and answered, "Because only Time is capable of understanding how valuable Love is."

Embrace Everything

"The warrior has no greater joy than to walk a path with a heart. On this path he walks, thrilled by the wonder of it all, and in his joy he gives thanks in his heart for this marvelous privilege by embracing everything he encounters with love and gratitude."

The Potato Garden

Wednesday, November 12, 2008

An oldie but one of my favorites.

An old man lived alone in Minnesota. He wanted to spade his potato garden, but it was very hard work. His only son, who would have helped him,was in prison. The old man wrote a letter to his son and mentioned his situation:

Dear Son,

I am feeling pretty bad because it looks like I won't be able to plant
my potato garden this year. I hate to miss doing the garden because your
mother always loved planting time. I'm just getting too old to be
digging up a garden plot. If you were here, all my troubles would be over.

I know you would dig the plot for me, if you weren't in prison.

Love,
Dad

Shortly, the old man received this telegram: "For Heaven's sake, Dad,
don't dig up the garden!! That's where I buried the GUNS!!"

At 4 a.m. the next morning, a dozen FBI agents and local police
officers showed up and dug up the entire garden without finding any guns.

Confused, the old man wrote another note to his son telling him what
happened, and asked him what to do next.

His son's reply was: "Go ahead and plant your potatoes, Dad. It's the best I could do for you from here."

Moral:

NO MATTER WHERE YOU ARE IN THE WORLD, IF YOU HAVE DECIDED TO DO SOMETHING DEEP FROM YOUR HEART, YOU CAN DO IT. IT IS THE THOUGHT THAT MATTERS NOT WHERE YOU ARE OR WHERE THE PERSON IS.

Guidance

Tuesday, November 11, 2008

When I meditated on the word Guidance, I kept seeing "dance" at the end of the word. I remember reading that doing God's will is a lot like dancing. When two people try to lead, nothing feels right. The movement doesn't flow with the music, and everything is quite uncomfortable and jerky. When one person realizes that, and lets the other lead, both bodies begin to flow with the music. One gives gentle cues, perhaps with a nudge to the back or by pressing lightly in one direction or another. It's as if two become one body, moving beautifully. The dance takes surrender, willingness, and attentiveness from one person and gentle guidance and skill from the other.

My eyes drew back to the word Guidance. When I saw "G: I thought of God, followed by "u" and "i". "God, "u" and "i" dance." God, you, and I dance. As I lowered my head, I became willing to trust that I would get guidance about my life. Once again, I became willing to let God lead.

A Start
by Leo Buscaglia

Each day, I promise myself not to try to solve all my life problems at
once -- nor shall I expect you to do so;

Starting each day, I shall try to learn something new about me and
about you and about the world I live in, so that I may continue to
experience all things as if they had been newly born;

Starting each day, I shall remember to communicate my joy as well as
my despair, so that we can know each other better;

Starting each day, I shall remind myself to really listen to you and
to try to hear your point of view and to discover the
least-threatening way of giving you mine, remembering that we are both
growing and changing in a hundred different ways;

Starting each day, I shall remind myself that I am a human being and
not demand perfection of you until I am perfect, so you're safe;

Starting each day, I shall try to be more aware of the beautiful
things in our world -- I'll look at the flowers, I'll look at the
birds, I'll look at the children, I'll feel the cool breezes, I'll eat
good food -- and I'll share these things with you;

Starting each day, I shall remind myself to reach out and touch you,
gently, with my words, my eyes and with my fingers, because I don't
want to miss feeling you;

Starting each day, I shall dedicate myself again to the process of
being a lover -- and then see what happens;
You know, I'm really convinced that if you were to define love, the
only word big enough to engulf it all would be "Life" -- LOVE IS LIFE
-- in all its aspects ... And if you miss love, you miss life !

Please don't !

Inner Self Angel

Sunday, November 9, 2008

In order to contribute to life and provide value to others, you must first connect to the value that is within you.

To connect with and appreciate that unique inner value, look past all the superficial things undertaken or acquired only to impress others, and focus on what is sincerely you.

You are the state you are in! Let go of your concerns, your worries, your pretenses and anxieties, and truly enjoy the moment you are in.

By doing this, you will be much better equipped to deal with whatever difficult situations the world sends your way.

love and light, Kimmy
